“It’s visualization in a positive sense. I never pictured myself crashing or falling off a beam. I always pictured myself doing my routine perfectly.” – Mary Lou Retton
What happens when your mind is focused on failure? You are bombarded with images of failure and naturally can be polarized from taking changes or risking looking bad in front of others. However, imagining success helps your mind focus on only success. I teach my athlete’s to master their skills in a risk free no failure environment using visualization. Repetitive visualization of success creates a mindset filled with success. This helps confidence, motivation and focus on the relevant information needed for successfully execution.
